About the 2024 Edition
The IX SINCVET was held from December 9 to 11, 2024, in a hybrid format, bringing together participants from different regions of Brazil and abroad.
Activities took place online on December 9 and 10, featuring lectures and scientific discussions, and in person on December 11, at UFRRJ (Seropédica – RJ), for poster presentations.
Since 2013, the Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences (PPGCV) at UFRRJ has organized SINCVET with the goal of promoting integration among faculty members, researchers, and students, both in Brazil and internationally.
The ninth edition focused on disseminating scientifically and technologically relevant research in veterinary sciences, contributing to scientific development in the state of Rio de Janeiro and strengthening the internationalization of academic production.
With the theme “Innovation and Challenges in Preventive Veterinary Medicine”, the event addressed new perspectives on emerging health threats, highlighting the role of preventive veterinary medicine in disease control, animal welfare, and food safety.
The program included lectures, scientific presentations, and collaboration opportunities, consolidating the symposium as a key platform for knowledge exchange and societal impact.

Participants were able to submit scientific abstracts, with the deadline extended until November 6, 2024.
For submission, the first author was required to be properly registered for the event. Accepted works were presented as posters, in person, on December 11, 2024, at the Department of Animal Parasitology at UFRRJ.
Submission guidelines were available on the Even3 platform.
